چکیده

The equations that define the Lax pairs for generalized principal chiral models can be solved for any nondegenerate bilinear form on su(2). The solution is dependent on one free variable that can serve as the spectral parameter. 1 Formulation of the generalized chiral models Principal chiral models are important example of relativistically invariant field theory integrable by the inverse scattering method. Their Lax pair formulation was given in [1]. Generalized principal chiral models were introduced as a quasiclassical limit of the Baxter quantum XYZ model in [2]. The equations of motion were written in the zero curvature form but without a spectral parameter. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the spectral dependent Lax pair for general SU(2) model. ∗Postal address: Břehová 7, 115 19 Prague 1, Czech Republic. E-mail: [email protected]

Towards the Lax formulation of SU (2) principal models with nonconstant metric

The equations that define the Lax pairs for generalized principal chiral models can be solved for any constant nondegenerate bilinear form on su(2). The solution is dependent on one free variable that can serve as the spectral parameter. Necessary conditions for the nonconstant metric on SU(2) that define the integrable models are given. 1991 MSC numbers: 35L10, 35L15, 34A55

Impact-parameter Dependence of the Diagonal Gpd of the Pion from Chiral Quark Models

We analyze the impact-parameter dependent diagonal non-singlet generalized parton distribution of the pion in two distinct chiral quark models: the Spectral Quark Model and the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model. Leading-order perturbative QCD evolution from the low quark-model scale to higher scales is carried out with the help of the inverse Mellin transform. The model agrees very reasonably with the r...

Alleviating the non-ultralocality of coset σ-models through a generalized Faddeev-Reshetikhin procedure

The Faddeev-Reshetikhin procedure corresponds to a removal of the nonultralocality of the classical SU(2) principal chiral model. It is realized by defining another field theory, which has the same Lax pair and equations of motion but a different Poisson structure and Hamiltonian. Following earlier work of M. Semenov-Tian-Shansky and A. Sevostyanov, we show how it is possible to alleviate in a ...

Off - Shell Formulation of N = 2 Non - Linear Σ - Models

We study d = 2, N = (2, 2) non-linear σ-models in (2, 2) superspace. By analyzing the most general constraints on a superfield, we show that through an appropriate choice of coordinates, there are no other superfields than chiral, twisted chiral and semi-chiral ones. We study the resulting σ-models and we speculate on the possibility that all (2, 2) non-linear σ-models can be described using th...

Principal models on a solvable group with nonconstant metric

Field equations for generalized principle models with nonconstant metric are derived and ansatz for their Lax pairs is given. Equations that define the Lax pairs are solved for the simplest solvable group. The solution is dependent on one free variable that can serve as the spectral parameter. Painlevé analysis of the resulting model is performed and its particular solutions are found 1991 MSC ...
